WWE Stablewars Season 37 Update - Week 1
170 stables have entered WWE Stablewars Season 37 and the scoring is already quite spread out, with a 39 points gap between first and last place. Inactive forum member CWA4life leads the way after the first four shows of the season on 40 points, with non-member but regular player Troll Wrestling second on 38 points. Another non-member, Travaughn Will Beat All You Losers, is in third place currently with 37 points, while Texas Kelly is the leading forum regular, in fourth place with 34 points.
CWA4life's stable include two throwaway picks in Eve and Lillian Garcia, but he has started off strongly with wins from all of his other wrestlers - Undertaker, Kofi Kingston, Chris Jericho, Vladimir Kozlov and Jimmy Wang Yang. Yang also appears in second placed Troll Wrestling's stable, but apart from that it is completely different, relying on Triple H, Carlito, Santino, Hornswaggle, Melina and Jerry Lawler, while Travaughn Will Beat All You Losers in third combines some of both of the leaders, having Undertaker, Carlito and Kozlov, as well as Matt Hardy, Mickie James, Smackdown General Manager Vicki Guerrero and Raw General Manager William Regal, an interesting pick. Meanwhile, fourth placed Texas Kelly's stable consists of Undertaker, Matt Hardy, Kofi Kingston, Paul Burchill, Mike Knox, Vicki Guerrero and the debuting Natalya Neidhart. The top five is rounded out by inactive forum member r7syxx, non-member Winner's Circle and new member KevIncredible, all on 33 points.
The Rebellion lead the faction standings after Week 1, debuting strongly with an average ranking of 59th, thanks largely to the aforementioned KevIncredible in 6th and Rossforpresident in 12th. Most of the other factions are bunched around an average of 60th-80th, with Western Union being the worst performed with an average ranking of 119th. In Survival Of The Fittest news, The Short Bus Squad's johncenafan finds himself as the lowest placed representative after the first week, although he is only 9 points behind Team Canada's PimpinSmurf, the leading rep.
No really spectacular scores from wrestlers in the first week, with The Undertaker leading the way with 12 points after a win on ECW and a no-contest main-event on Smackdown. Chris Jericho leads the mid-carders with 9 points due to defending the Intercontinental Title on Raw, while Mickie James suprised everyone by winning the Women's Title and is thus the highest scoring diva/semi-active wrestler with 11 points. Only 11 stables were lucky enough to have the new Women's Champion, with Natalya Neidhart being by far and away the most popular "active" diva/semi-active wrestler, appearing in 41 stables. Triple H was the most picked main-eventer, with 53 of the 170 stables including him, while 37 stables opted for The Undertaker, 23 chose Kane and 21 went with CM Punk as their main-eventer. Matt Hardy was the most picked mid-carder, appearing in 54 stables, while Kofi Kingston (46 stables) continues to be a popular pick.
A relatively unspectactular first week to WWE Stablewars Season 37 will no doubt pick up in Week 2, with Raw's King Of The Ring tournament and the Backlash Pay Per View sure to offer plenty of points. For the time being CWA4life leads the way, but it is still early in the season and things tend to change very rapidly.
